First Permanent Molars Coming In (Age 6)
Around age 6, your child’s first permanent molars begin to erupt, right behind the baby molars.
These teeth do not replace baby teeth, so they can be easy to miss!
If your child feels discomfort as the molars come in, offer ice cream followed by water to rinse away sugars.
If the discomfort is stronger, you may give age-appropriate pain relief (such as Tylenol).
If you ever notice swelling, prolonged pain, or difficulty brushing in the back, ask BalloonDoc 🎈🦷 to take a look!
