Prescription Toothpaste Instructions

1. Prescription Toothpaste Information:

Your child has been prescribed a toothpaste with a higher fluoride concentration (5000 ppm) to provide extra protection against cavities. This prescription strength is recommended based on your child's individual oral health needs.

2. Frequency of Use:

Use the prescribed toothpaste only before bedtime.

3. Application:

Apply only a small pea-sized amount of the prescription toothpaste to your child's toothbrush.

4. Brushing Technique:

Encourage your child to brush their teeth thoroughly, paying attention to all surfaces—front, back, and chewing surfaces. Brush for at least two minutes to ensure optimal coverage. Floss between all the teeth.

5. Spit, Don't Rinse:

After brushing, instruct your child to spit out the excess toothpaste. Avoid rinsing after brushing to allow the fluoride to remain on the teeth for longer, enhancing its protective effect.

6. Avoid Ingestion:

- Ensure that your child does not swallow the toothpaste. High levels of fluoride can be harmful if ingested in large amounts. Supervise young children during brushing to prevent swallowing.
